So Long, Wrinkles

What Are Injectables?

Feeling and looking your best can restore your enthusiasm for life. With Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) and Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) injections, you can improve the look of moderate to severe lines on your face, specifically:

• Frown lines between your eyebrows
• Forehead wrinkles
• Lip lines
• Crow’s feet around the eye

Injectables also can help control severe sweating under the arms, and on the palms and feet.

How Do Botox and Dysport Injections Work?

Botox and Dysport are prescription medications that are injected into a muscle to prevent the muscle from moving for a limited time. When injected, they block signals from the nerves that cause muscles to contract (for example, they can relax facial muscles that cause wrinkles or lines).

Am I a Candidate for Botox and Dysport Injections?

Injectables are ideal for both male and female clients looking to improve the look of moderate to severe lines on their face. Candidates should be in good overall health, and the treatment is not suitable for those who suffer from or have a history of nerve damage or muscle conditions, such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or multiple sclerosis (MS). If you are currently pregnant or nursing, you are not a candidate for Botox or Dysport.

To determine if Botox or Dysport injections are right for you, schedule a consultation with one of our specialists at REDEEM. During your consultation, we will review your medical history and talk with you to understand your concerns. Then we’ll work with you to determine if this is the best treatment to address your needs.

It is easy to maintain your results. On average, Botox and Dysport injections last between three to four months. The key is to be consistent in order to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It can still vary from patient to patient based on several factors, including age and metabolism.
